The springs in Saratoga Springs, New York have fascinating histories tied to the area's development as a health and wellness destination in the 18th and 19th centuries. Each spring often acquired its name from notable people, locations, or characteristics.
The spring gets its name from the Great Seal of the State of New York, which was used in the branding and promotion of Saratoga’s springs during the 19th century. The water from the State Seal Spring was believed to have medicinal properties, particularly beneficial for ailments related to the digestive system and overall health.
Like other springs in Saratoga, it was marketed as a therapeutic source, with advertisements often claiming the water’s purity and healing benefits. Its name was likely chosen to evoke the authority and trust associated with the state seal, lending a sense of official endorsement and legitimacy to the spring’s curative powers.

Clean burning:
Soy wax burns cleaner than paraffin wax, emitting fewer toxins and pollutants into the air.
It produces little to no black soot, which can help maintain cleaner air quality in your home.
Longer burning time:
Soy wax candles tend to burn slower and last longer than paraffin candles of the same size.
This means you can enjoy your candle longer before needing to replace it.
Easy cleanup:
Spills and drips from soy wax candles can be cleaned up easily with soap and water.
Since soy wax is water-soluble, it is simpler to remove than paraffin wax.
Better scent throw:
Soy wax has excellent scent-holding qualities, allowing it to hold and release fragrance oils effectively.
This results in a stronger and more consistent scent throw throughout the candle's lifespan.

Burn time: 45+ hours (8oz.)
Disclosure: Our candles are meticulously crafted by hand, and therefore, they may be subject to slight variations in appearance. Being natural, our soy wax can display slight differences as well.
How to use:
To prevent tunneling, burn until the entire surface has turned to liquid wax before extinguishing.
Before lighting your candle, always trim the wick to about 5mm and remove any debris.
Burn on a flat surface and periodically turn the candle to ensure an even burn pool.
Always burn within sight.
Extinguish the candle if it repeatedly smokes or the flame becomes too high, let it cool, re-align and trim the wick.
Avoid burning your candle all the way to the bottom of the vessel. Leave approximately 1cm of wax and extinguish.
Burn in a wind/fan free area. The flame should be still and pointed upwards to ensure even heat distribution and melting.
Store in a climate controlled environment.
Never pour candle wax down your drain. Keep this in mind if you clean out your vessel for re-purposing or recycling.
Don’t leave unattended.
Keep away from flammable objects.
Keep away from children and pets.
Don’t burn for more that 4 hours at a time.
